Color – We’ve seen color incorporated into bridal gowns the past few seasons and this color trend has now shifted towards wedding shoes as well. Brides are wearing colorful shoes to add a pop of color to their traditional white or ivory ensembles. Brides are dying their shoes to match the accent color in their bridal gowns or to match the color of their bridesmaids’ dresses. Some brides are even wearing blue shoes as their something blue. |
Embellishments – Bridal shoes accented with a rhinestone buckle or some delicate embroidery are still worn by many brides, but some brides are really going for all-out stunning accents. Oversized flowers, lots of lace, beaded bows, feathers, beaded heels and even all over crystal encrusted shoes are the types of detailing that really show off your personal style and make a fashion statement.

Platform – Platform style shoes, although not the mile-high platforms you’d wear out on a Saturday night, are showing up on bridal shoes as well. Pumps and sling backs alike are featuring a bit of platform under the toe and this makes for not only a trendy shoe but for a very comfortable shoe as well.
