Bridal Beauty Breakdown

Nearly every women’s fashion, lifestyle, bridal magazine and website has information on beauty tips, secrets, ideas, and trends, but for most women, there’s just not enough hours in a day to perform every treatment they’d like. This is especially true for brides on their wedding day. Brides looking to incorporate new and additional procedures into their beauty regimen should breakdown their bridal beauty schedule and begin a few months before the wedding. This ensures that they will look their best and be stress free come wedding day.

6 Months Prior
  • Schedule a skin consultation for problem acne, laser treatments, peels, wrinkle injections, etc. so you have enough time to decide if these procedures are for you and enough time to schedule the treatments prior to the wedding.
  • Schedule trial run hair appointments and try out multiple styles. Also schedule a cut and color consultation and deep conditioning treatments.
  • Begin an exercise routine to maintain your ideal weight.
3 Months Prior
  • Schedule a make up consultation plus appointments for trying out different looks and for selecting product shades to match your skin tone.
  • Begin skin care routine with monthly facials.
  • Begin nail care routine with monthly manicures.
  • Try out different self tanning products or try a spray tan to find the right shade for your skin.
  • If you’re not already doing this as part of your daily skin care regiment, start to cleanse, tone and moisturize your face.
  • Begin drinking plenty of water to keep your skin looking radiant.
2 Months Prior
  • Schedule the appointments for the desired cut and color for a few weeks before the wedding.
  • Make the wedding day appointment.  No one wants their favorite stylist to be booked on the big day!
Wedding Week
  • Get a final facial the week before the wedding.
  • Get any type of waxing for lips, eyebrows, bikini area, etc. done a week before to avoid redness and swelling.  A week before is also the time to get eyebrows shaped.
  • Apply favorite spray/self tan for the last time at least three to four days before the wedding.  This ensures enough time to shower several times to make the tan look more natural.
  • Get a final manicure and a pedicure the day before the wedding.
  • Get a good night’s sleep the day before to prevent dark under eye circles.
  • Have the final, selected hair and make up styles done the day of the wedding.

Avoid a bridal beauty breakdown come wedding day by scheduling new treatments, procedures, and appointments well in advance of the wedding day leaving only the most essential tasks for the big day.
