Bridal Beauty - Long, Sexy Eyelashes

Some are born with amazingly long eyelashes, but for the rest of us we only dream of long, dark, romantic eyelashes fluttering as we utter the words “I Do.” Well, dream no more. A trend that has become increasingly popular over the past few years is Eyelash Extensions. The procedure is safe and painless, takes about 1-2 hours and IS affordable.

We asked Rhode Island’s beauty expert, Sienna Iannelli, owner of Faces by Sienna, for tips on extensions:

“Eyelash Extensions are great for that glamorous look and excellent for looking fabulous on your Honeymoon! The sizes and lengths vary, so you can look very natural or completely exotic! Lash extensions cannot get wet for the first 48 hours, giving them enough time to cure. So, if you are only getting them done for your wedding, I suggest coming in early in the week. If you want to continue wearing them after the wedding and beyond, a normal time for a fill is anywhere between 3-6 weeks after your initial set is put on. The "Full set" appointment takes an hour and a "Fill" appointment takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes.

Clients always ask if it hurts, and the answer is absolutely not! In fact, the process is very relaxing! I ask you to lay on my facial bed (which is heated) as soft music is playing in the background. I put on anti-aging collagen eye pads to hold down your lower lashes and ask you to close your eyes. Your eyes remain closed for the 1 hour service. Most clients fall asleep! I then attach a synthetic lash on top of each of your existing lashes....after about an hour, you are fab-you-lash!"

Can’t squeeze this into your wedding budget but still want the look? Consider applying false eyelashes that can be purchased at Sephora, CVS or other drugstores. But beware! Before your wedding day, be sure to test applying false eyelashes on. You don’t want to be frazzled and stressed on your wedding day with this task!
