Wedding Veils

Most brides will adorn a wedding veil of some size for their wedding day. But what size is the right size for your wedding day? One question to ask before the hunt begins: do you wish to wear your veil throughout the entire ceremony and reception or just during the ceremony? If you choose to unveil after the ceremony and wear just your hair accessory, such as a comb, tiara or headband, then just about any veil size should do the trick. However, if you plan on wearing your veil throughout the entire event, you may want to stick with a smaller size so that you don’t get tangled while walking into the reception or dancing the night away.

Wedding Veils come in a variety of sizes, below are some of the most common:

ShoulderWedding Veil

Short/Shoulder Wedding Veil, 15”-20”

Think a simple blusher to cover your face to a detailed veil that goes just past your shoulders. The short veil goes well with a modern look – regardless of dress style; also great with tea-length dresses or short dresses. Perfect for a destination wedding (no need to roll/fold for travel!) Elbow Wedding Veil

Elbow Length Veil, 25”-30”

As the name states, this veil length goes to one’s elbows. Try a single layer for a simple touch; or multiple layers for a fuller look. A great touch for either a modern or traditional gown.

Fingertip Wedding Veils

Fingertip Wedding Veil, 38”-42”

Slightly longer than the elbow veil, the fingertip is most associated with a traditional, longer gown. This length tends to never go out of style. See below for some of our favorites!

Chapel Wedding Veils

Chapel Length Veil, 90”-92”

The length of this veil will hit the floor and go lay slightly behind heels. This veil length is perfect with longer, formal dresses. Although Cathedral style is the current trend, this length goes perfect if your dress does not have a long train.

Cathedral Wedding Veil

Cathedral Wedding Veil, 108”

Gaining popularity with its romantic silhouette, the cathedral veil flows to your ankles and beyond the floor. Works best with long gowns. A current trend that is worth, at the very least, a try-on with your wedding gown.
