Tuxedos have been the quintessential formal dress for men for over a century. The basic elements of the tuxedo have been pretty consistent through the years; a satin peaked, notched or shawl lapel, single or double-breasted jacket, trousers with a satin side stripe, a pleated wing or laydown collar shirt, a satin cummerbund and bow tie. Yet, there are always some trends from contemporary fashion that spill over into the men’s formalwear sector that reflect our desire to be current and cool.
